Candidates Qualifications for Constable Posts in Bangladesh Police

• Age: Should be 18-20 years.

First Step:

1. Log on to http://police.teletalk.com.bd and fill the application form. The link is helpful for filling the application form correctly as video tutorial and form filling guide will be provided. Besides, it is necessary to fill the form using the Help option of the link assistance can be taken.
2. Application period from 01 October 2024 10.00 AM to 15 October 2024 11.59 PM.
3. Eligible candidates will get a User ID immediately after filling the application form. Within 48 hours of filling the application form on the said User ID
   40/- (Forty Rupees) service charge (non-refundable) from any Teletalk pre-paid mobile number.
4. Scan the candidate’s signature (length 300 × width 80 pixels) and color photograph (length 300 × width 300 pixels) in the online application form at the designated place.

Preliminary Screening: A specified number of candidates will be selected through preliminary screening as per prescribed recruitment rules from amongst the candidates applying online. Eligible candidates will be selected for Physical Endurance Test (PET) along with verification of physical dimensions and documents.

Psychological and Oral Test

Candidates who have cleared the written test will have to attend the psychological and oral test of 15 marks on the date mentioned in the notification.

Primary Selection

The existing quota system issued by the Government in favor of quota for actual vacant posts appointable in each district (merit; freedom fighters, martyr freedom fighters and the child of Virangana; Minorities and Physically Handicapped and Third Gender) followed by marks obtained in written and psychological and oral tests. Candidates will be initially selected based on merit.

Health Test and Police Verification

Initially selected candidates will have to attend the health test. In this case, the selected candidates are Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh, Dhaka along with details of medical history completed and physical examination conducted by Medical Officer on scheduled date and time must participate in Pathological Investigation. Medical report of health examination from any institution other than Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh will not be accepted in the board. The decision taken by the concerned medical board on the health examination will be considered final. Again if declared ineligible in health test 01 (one) time no application for health examination will be considered. Candidates who qualify the health test will fill the police verification form. Police verification satisfactory will be nominated initially for training if considered. Note that if any information is hidden or false information is provided in the police verification form is final nominations for training will not be provided.

Final Inclusion in Training

Candidates initially selected for training after joining the training center will be finally included in training after verification of physical fitness and other information by the Final Verification Committee consisting of representatives of Police Headquarters.

Details of Required Certificates

Eligible candidates selected through preliminary screening should appear at their district Police Lines (permanent resident of the district) with the following documents on the date and time mentioned in the notification for physical measurement, document verification and participation in the Physical Endurance Test (PET):

• Admit Card for Physical Endurance Test : Downloaded print copy of Admit Card for Physical Endurance Test (2 copies).
• Educational Qualification Certificate: Original copy of Educational Qualification Certificate/Temporary Certificate.
• Character Certificate: Original copy of character certificate issued by the Head of the last educational institution.
• Citizenship Certificate: Original copy of permanent citizenship certificate from the Chairman of Union Parishad/Mayor of City Corporation/Municipality Mayor/Ward Councilor (as applicable) as evidence of permanent resident of the district/nationality.
• Parental Consent Letter: Letter of Consent issued by the legal guardian (according to the sample provided on the Police website).
• National Identity Card: Original copy of the candidate’s national identity card (if the candidate does not have a national identity card, original copy of the candidate’s parent’s national identity card).
• Photographs: 3 (three) copies of recent passport size color photographs attested by a Government Gazetted Officer5.8 In case of children of Freedom Fighters, Martyred Freedom Fighters and Veterans: Attested copy of Red Muktibarta if freedom fighter’s name is in red Muktibarta/Attested copy of Indian list if freedom fighter’s name is in Indian list/Original copy of gazette issued in freedom fighter’s name.
• Minority Quota: In case of Minority Quota candidates original copy of certificate issued by their Raja/Minority Head or District Administrator/Upazila Executive Officer.
• In case of physical disability: Golden Citizen Card (original copy).
• In case of third gender: Certificate issued by the District Civil Surgeon.
• Clearance of Employed Candidates: Clearance from appropriate authority is mandatory in case of candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Organisations.

Training of Bangladesh Police Constable Job Circular 2024

Candidates deemed eligible during the final selection by the Final Selection Committee consisting of representatives of Police Headquarters will be required to attend Basic Training as Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) for a period of 6 (six) months at the designated training centre.

Training Facilities

• During training as a Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) free of cost accommodation including clothing and medical facilities shall be available.
• Training allowance will be admissible every month as per government rules during training period.

Recruitment and Job Benefits

1. 9,000-21,800/- Grade 17 of the National Pay Scale 2015 for trainees who have successfully completed training and as per rules, Recruitment to the post of Bangladesh Police Constable will be provided along with other emoluments due.
2. Recruits transferred against a vacant post in any district/unit shall be bound to join the vacant post of Constable in that district/unit.
3. Candidates selected for the post of Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) will have their apprenticeship period declared by the concerned District/Unit Head from the date of joining the District/Unit on successful completion of basic training. On completion of two years of satisfactory service from the date of notification of the apprentice, he shall be permanent in the post of Constable by the concerned District/Unit Head or authorized officer.
4. Appointed candidates must remain unmarried till the completion of apprenticeship.
5. Recruited candidates will be entitled to free clothing, hazard allowance, medical facilities and family ration items at low cost as per availability for self and prescribed number of family members.
6. Bangladesh Police Constable will be provided along with other emoluments due.

General Instructions

1. The Authority reserves the right to reduce/increase the number of appointable posts considering the overall situation.
2. In case any adverse report is found in the investigation or subsequent investigation about the information provided by the candidate regarding educational qualification and other matters, necessary legal action will be taken against the said candidate including exemption from training/dismissal/dismissal from the job.
3. In the case of children of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters and heroes, if the proofs submitted in favor of the father/mother are not found correct after verification, necessary legal action will be taken against him/her including exemption from training/dismissal/dismissal from employment. It should be noted that once the freedom fighter certificate submitted by the candidate for the quota set for the children of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters and veterans is proven fake by the Ministry of Liberation War, there will be no opportunity to re-verify it.
4. There is no opportunity to grant appointment to the post of constable on the basis of any other documents issued or newly issued after completion of the recruitment process except the documents (various certificates/certificates) submitted by the candidate at the time of entry into the service.
5. Applications containing defective/incomplete/late/wrong information or false information will be considered rejected. In this case, if the information submitted by any candidate is proved to be false/false/deceitful at any stage, if the candidate is finally selected/recruited/trained/employed for training, legal action will be taken against him/her including disqualification/expulsion/dismissal/dismissal.
